Parchment Strengthens Global Expansion with Appointment of New Channel Manager in Japan
Hear why St. Petersburg College moved forward with Parchment Diploma Services and the benefits they have realized.
“The turnaround time has improved dramatically. We went from a 6–8 week process to just 7–10 business days. The consistency in the quality and appearance of the diplomas has also been exactly what we were looking for. It’s completely transformed how we handle diplomas.”
Rosemary DeLese
Assistant Director of Records, St. Petersburg College
Before joining St. Petersburg College, I worked at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, where we were in the process of implementing Parchment’s Diploma Services. We had also used Parchment’s Transcript Services for years with great success. When I arrived at SPC and saw that diplomas were being handled entirely in-house, Parchment immediately came to mind.
It was an easy decision — printing diplomas internally came with risks. A printer malfunction or running out of ink would delay the entire process. And when it comes to sending out diplomas, every minute counts.
The turnaround time has improved dramatically. We went from a 6–8 week process to just 7–10 business days. The consistency in the quality and appearance of the diplomas has also been exactly what we were looking for. It’s completely transformed how we handle diplomas.
Address verification has greatly enhanced our accuracy and efficiency. We’ve seen a significant reduction in returned diplomas due to incorrect addresses. Fewer students are calling to ask where their diploma is, since they can now track it themselves. Plus, they have access to a digital diploma if they need an additional copy. This adds substantial value for our students.
It’s been great to see students actively sharing their digital diplomas. The tracking and sharing features — particularly on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and Instagram — are a real asset, especially from a marketing perspective. It helps promote both student achievement and the college itself.
Looking ahead, I’d love to move our replacement diploma ordering through Parchment as well. I’m hopeful we’ll be able to implement that in the near future.
